Bangalore, July 13, 2016: Azim Premji Foundation announces recruitment of fresh post graduates to join them as Associates, leading to full-time positions in the organization. The Foundation has invited applications from fresh post graduates (completed post-graduation in 2015 or 2016) who are passionate to improve the quality and equity in school education across the country. The selection process is based on a combination of written test and interviews. Written test in Bangalore is scheduled on Saturday 16th July 2016, at 9am, 11am and 1pm at Wipro Corporate Office, 134, Doddakannelli, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore – 560 035.
Aspirants should have a postgraduate degree (M.A. /M.Sc) or an integrated postgraduate degree (5 years course directly after Grade 12) in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Social Sciences (History, Geography and Political Science) or Languages (English, Hindi, Urdu, Kannada and Tamil). Proficiency in the local language is a must and candidates should be open to relocate to the districts where Azim Premji Foundation operates.
Selected associates will receive a monthly gross salary of Rs. 26,000/- and additional benefits. They will be posted in districts of Bihar (Bikram), Chhattisgarh (Baloda Bazar, Bemetara, Dhamtari, Janjgir, Raigarh, Raipur) Karnataka (Bagalkot, Kalaburgi, Mandya, Raichur, Vijayapura, Yadgir) Madhya Pradesh (Khargone), Rajasthan (Banswara, Barmer, Dungarpur, Pali, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Tonk) Uttarakhand (Almora, Nainital, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarkashi) and Puducherry. Initially the associates will be immersed in the realities of school education in rural India and will work closely with teachers to improve teaching practices, develop learning material for children & teachers and conduct research on issues related to classroom & teaching-learning processes.

After the completion of one year, their role at the district institutes will be to help build teacher capacities in subject content, education perspectives and pedagogical approaches”.
