Bangalore, February 27, 2016: Garden City College organised 2 days National Level Film Festival. The event took place in the campus on Friday and Saturday. The event witnessed the presence of many renowned personalities from Kannada Film Industry as well as Bollywood. Actors like Sanchari Vijay, Manasa Joshi, P.Sheshadri, RJ Raaj, Mansore, Gautam Shawnty, Anuradha Bhat and many more were present in the event. Crisp Foundation sponsored the Event, Sparaha advanced wellness studio and Digi fabs Pvt.Ltd were also sponsors for the event, the media partners for the event were BTv, Vijayvani and Red FM.

The event highlighted the talent of many budding filmmakers, photographers, Ad makers and many more. In events category for Creative Writing, Shihab Mohammad from Garden City College got the first prize and Ankita Hait from The Oxford College of Arts got the second Prize. In Shutter Bugs Photography, Keethi Vasan from CMR College got the First Prize and Vidhya JM from The Oxford College of Arts got the second prize. For Film Quiz, Abhishek Jha and Ipsita Das from Garden City College got the First Prize and Reethu Varna and Anu Rosariya from Garden City College got the Second Prize.

Cash Prizes were given in the Film Category; “Isolation” got a cash prize of Rs.10,000 from Garden City College made by Vinay Sharma in Documentary category got the first prize and ”The Darken Life of Women” from EMMRC, Mysore University made by Mahesh. P. Hiremath got the second prize. In Ad Films category ”Domestic Violence” from Commits College by Shraman Sinha Ray won the first prize with the cash prize of Rs 5,000 and “The Interrogation” from The Oxford College of Arts by Rahul Dev won the second prize. In Short Films Category Chairman’s special award of Rs. 15,000 was given to St. Joseph’s College, Changanacherry for the Film” Loud Truth” by M.C.Jithin and group, second prize of Rs 5,000 was given to “Sold” from Commits College by Barkha Joshi and group.
