Bangalore,Karnataka,23/01/2016 – It is said that English is a funny language! It stands true in every sense. Learning to speak English is easy. Writing English and being grammatically correct is another thing. Understanding phonetics, learning to pronounce and spell a word is challenging for some.

Candor International School is one of the finest education providers in Bangalore. It is an Authorized IGCSE and IB school, located at BegurKoppa road, off Bannerghatta road, near electronic city. Candor in association with India Spell Bee (ISB) conducted a spelling bee competition on the 23rd of January 2016. MrShishirHathwar, the Guinness world record holder for the fastest spelling in reverse, graced the occasion as the chief guest. A small presentation was given by him about the tricks of getting the spellings right followed by question by students and parents .

Candor International School hosted the competition at their campus. Sixteen schools participated in the preliminary round. Over 250talented students qualified for the semifinals. 80 students made it to the finals. In category 1 (Grade 1-2), Nireeksha from Delhi Public School, South (DPS) won the 1st prize. The 1st and the 2nd runners up Akanaksh andAkshayAgarwalare from DPS, South as well.

In category 2 (Grade 3-4), Manu from Candor International School won the 1st prize. The 1strunner up was Anusha from Candor school and the 2nd runners up was Rhea from Ebenezer International School respectively.

In category 3 (Grade 5-7),MatlideRiberio from Baldwin Girls School won the 1st prize.Nehal P from Presidency School won the 1st runner up &the 2nd runners up was given to Anushkafrom Global India International School.

In category 4 (Grade 8-10 ), JauriKolte from Presidency School won the 1st prize. The 1st and the 2nd runners up RonakSabu andHanaan Sana are from DPS, East and Presidency schools respectively.

The Best school championship award was given to Presidency School. The 1st Runner up was DPS, South.

Candor International School was very welcoming and played a perfect host. Their infrastructure is topnotch and it was a pleasure to capture the moments of this wonderful event.

Star Sports Pro Kabaddi signs actor Yash as its brand ambassador

Kannada actor, Yash, struck the scene with his lead performance in his first solo hit, Modalasala, which turned out to be a blockbuster of the year churning big numbers. The dashing star followed this up with his performance in Rajadhani in 2011, for which he received a lot of critical accolades. His movie ‘Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari’, a 2014 Indian Kannada romance drama film emerged as the highest grossing Kannada film. Yash will be adding to the enthusiasm of millions of kabaddi fans, especially those in Karnataka where the league has been a big hit and there is widespread fan support for the local team

Yash will be performing the National Anthem during one of days of the opening leg of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi in Bengaluru.

Season 3 of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi will reach out to significant clusters of populations in Karnataka through exclusive commentary feed in Kannada along with English, Hindi and Telugu. Star Sports Star Sports Pro Kabaddi will also be broadcasted globally to audience in over 100 countries, including United States, United Kingdom, Middle East and Latin America.

Star Sports Pro Kabaddi, which is promoted by Mashal Sports and Star India with the backing of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and International Kabaddi Federation, will feature a total of 159 players across 8 teams.

The action begins in Vizag on January 30, with defending champions U Mumba taking on home team Telugu Titans. The playoffs will take place at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on the March 4 and 5, 2016 with the largest indoor setup in the history of the league.
